Alumni Spotlight: Logan Richardson
Logan Richardson
DC: Where are you going to school/working now?
LR: Assistant Dance Coach (Concordia University Ann Arbor Dance Team)/ Choreographer and Assistant Director (Concordia University Ann Arbor Theater Department)/ Dance Teacher (Encore Dance Studio)/ Registered Nurse (Trinity Health Ann Arbor Level 1 Trauma Center)/ MSN Student (Siena Heights University)
DC: Is dance still part of your life?
LR: Yes, dance is still a huge part of my life (as you can see above). However, I do miss the feeling of performing myself!
DC: What is special about Dance Connection?
LR: I met some of my forever friends at Dance Connection and without Dance Connection I would not be as successful in the dance and theater world as I am today.
DC: What is something dance has taught you that you can apply to your life?
LR: You don’t need to be perfect every day. You just need to push to be 1% better.
DC: What’s your favorite memory at the studio? Do you have a favorite dance you were part of?
LR: My favorite memory at the studio was at Access Broadway when I got to compete in “Uptown Funk” and all of us nailed the triple pirouette in tap shoes. My favorite dance was my contemporary dance my senior year, “Found Tonight”. I still listen to that song and get filled with joy and nostalgia.
DC: Any advice for someone younger or someone who is just starting on their dance journey?
LR: Dance because you love it and because it makes you feel alive!
